Fischer Lobby was pretty quiet last night. Not as quiet as the suite though. That was kind of creepy. I was the only one there last night... anyway. I managed to stay up until a ridiculous hour last night.. went to bed at 1:45 and got up at 4:45. Which kind of sucked because as it turns out I didn't have nearly as much to do as I had thought so I spent a lot of time sitting around in our empty suite until it was time to go.
My trip wasn't nearly as exciting as Isaiah or Amy's unfortunatly. Actually. It wasn't exciting at all. The only remotly interesting thing was that the same guy who was on the shuttle with me turned out to be on my flight from Portland. His name was Steven. And he sat in seat 23A. My seat was 23C. He read a lot. And listened to music. But that was it. The only other bit of information I discovered was that he is from Gresham OR. Then there was the asian guy between us who spent the entire flight headphones in either sleeping or doing Sudoku on his phone. So rather uneventful flight. Lunch was called for after I landed so we met my grandparents at Red Robin. I have to say that a Bacon Cheeseburger tasted quite good after the long flight. After lunch and a quick stop at the store, I am now "home" or at least at my family's house.
Hmm...I do believe I should relate the story behind the title of this entry. It is rather amusing actually. I will tell you the punch line first. I got asked out on a date last night (and said no). :) But you will have to wait to find out who. Just keep reading. The question was asked in such a way that it was an attempt at being subtle but failing completely. I will attempt to relate the conversation as best I can. (I will paraphrase as i don't remember the exact words.)
Boy comes over and sits down next to me.
We watch some youtube videos ect...
Boy: Well this was a good way to waste time. I am trying to set up my roomate with someone and i wanted to give them time alone.
Conversation turns to dating
Boy: so how many dates have you been on this semester?
Me: only one, to the swing dance
Boy: does that count?
Me: yes!
conversation turns to the fact that at my high school going on a date and dating were not separate form eachother.
Boy: you poor deprived person...
Me: not really...
Boy: well, if you ever do want to see what a real date is like, i wouldn't mind taking you out.
me: (dies laughing) Wow. That was a really roundabout way of asking me out!
Boy: ....it was an attempt at being subtle... how did i do?
me: i'm not going to answer that question. :p
boy: about the date or about the subtleness?
me: the subtleness. and about the date, Thank you for the offer but i am going to say no.
Well. That's about it. Yes. I got asked out. Oh wait. what's that? you want to know who it was? Very well. I will end with this then.
I got asked out by Daniel Fugelstad.

Kailyn :)
