Today...

After a two hour and fifty minute battle, I was beaten swiftly and soundly by my cousin in Monopoly. It was BAD. At the end of the game, he had more money than what was left in the bank. We actually had to get change from HIS money when I passed "Go" a couple of times. He owned all but three properties on the board, and to top it off, we were playing Monopoly City, a version of Monopoly that has buildings you can put on your properties besides houses and hotels. He had Monopoly Tower, which DOUBLED the rent for ALL his properties! I lost after I landed on the last blue space, where the rent was 64 MILLION dollars. It was just awful.

But even though I lost in Monopoly, I feel like I still won something after I drove home. Because my cousin's sister, my cousin, tried to kill herself by overdosing on prescription drugs last night, and is now in the hospital, unable to leave since the doctors believe that she isn't yet mentally stable.

So I would consider it a victory to be able to keep my young cousin's mind off of his sister by letting him beat me in Monopoly.
