Hello my dear friends with whom I will soon be sweetly reunited!

Question: Who would like to join me for All School Communion Sunday night? What a greater way to spend our first night with all of us back on campus than worship God together? I'll be there ;) ;)

Seating is up! I'm 1D9 this time around...and unsure of just where that is. Where will the rest of you be located? :)

The Mirror

Part of my life's routine includes looking at myself for short moments in my bathroom mirror.

Some days I look and see bright green eyes, an engaging smile and well-kept hair. Some days are good days.

Some days I look and see dark circles under my eyes from sleepless and stressful nights. The forced smile that I have become an expert at showing to people in an effort to hide what going through life can do to me. My stupid hair that never turns out the way I want it to, just like many friendships or personal issues in my life. Some days are bad days.

Some days I can't even get myself to look at the mirror, knowing what I will find there. I brush my teeth and wash my face while staring into the porcelain bowl of my sink, which reflects only a blurry, hidden image of myself.

Some days I don't even make it into the bathroom, needing to avoid that mirror altogether.

But everyday I hold in my heart that God doesn't care what I see in that mirror, whether it's good or bad. God knows who I am, because He created me to be this way, and He loves me. He wouldn't have me any other way.

No matter what that mirror tells me, God has already made up His mind. He made up his mind before I even existed.

He loves me.

Sun and Snow

Dear friends,

Sorry I haven't been blogging! Some updates:

1. My beach vacation was glorious. It was wonderful to spend time with my family. Seeing God's beautiful creation, resting, and being with my goofy family was such a blessing. I also spent a day with Sue Sullivan and Shimmy (Isaac...you went to school with him! woah!) in Hawaii. It was awesome to hang out with other Wheaties. P.S. I am tan. believe it or not.

2. It really snowed in Pittsburgh! I hope you all have had enjoyable weather this break

3. I forgot to tell you all that I finished the Hunger Games Trilogy! Yay! I liked the first two books a lot better than the third, but it was definitely still enjoyable. Thank you for recommending the series

5. I FINALLY FOUND MY FAVORITE EARMUFFS IN A STORE! This shouldn't be a huge deal, but it definitely is. I looked at 6 different Macy's to find these earmuffs. I found them today. It was emotional. Please don't let me break them again! I was so excited to tell you all that I haven't even removed the price tag.
